New edition, out-of-print hardback in red leather-cloth decorated black/gilt, Crown octavo over 7.5x5inches, lxxvi + 610pp plus publisher's ad, portrait frontis with tissue-guard, illustrated with 7 engraved plates by Edward Corbould, edited by Robert Aris Willmott, beautifully bright clean stippled boards with elaborate gilt-embossed lyre motif with concentric black rings on upper, ruled gilt black borders & bevelled edges, blindstamped ruling to lower board, mock raised bands & gilt decorations to spine which shows only tiny spots of fray to edges with slightly crumpled top/tail, o/w boards barely rubbed with firm hinges, all edges gilt, brown colour endpapers, no owner's inscriptions, few insignificant spots to prelims & rear endpaper, textblock bright clean & unblemished, a really handsome copy in its red, black & gold livery.
