1st edition UK, out-of-print hardback in protected antique full brown calf leather, Foolscap octavo over 6.5x4.5inches, xxiv + 229pp plus 3 pgs author's listing, raised spine bands, red/gilt spine titling, lea boards still gleam, showing wrinkles & edge-rub, with spine linen showing through slight upper hinge crack, small patch of rusting to front inner gutter with small worm damage to top corner of prelims, also single worm cratered through margin of later 50 pgs & rear pastedown, but neither affecting txt, o/w pgs bright & unblemished if a trifle wavy, occasional faint vertical line marking to selected txt passages, overall binding firm & sturdy; author's dedication to Thomas Collinson, Banker, in London, lengthy preface followed by txt relating to Greek Classics, Latin Classics, Latin Collections & Octavo Classics.
