First edition, out-of-print hardback in full calf leather, Royal octavo over 10x6inches, x + 446pp with index plus 64pp publisher's catalogue of technical bks, with over 1,000 illustrations, maroon lea boards are well-rubbed and chafed at spine extremities and along spine edges, also half the backstrip has split and been snagged across the middle (now restrained by utility repair of double-sided tape), raised bands on spine & gilt titling (dulled), colour endpapers, inner guttering strained but held, no inscriptions, a little age-marking and edge tan to pgs, overall a little shaken but textblock remarkably clean bright & unmarked, thus a very good reading copy of this scarce First edition.
