Complete bargain collection of all 23 Heron editions of Nevil Shute's novels plus his autobiography ('Slide Rule') in 21 volumes matched Set Shute Nevil (Heron Books/Edito-Service) London, c1970 Uniform complete matching bargain set in 21 volumes includes 2 dual title volumes in addition to the v scarce 'Trustee from the Toolroom', out-of-print hardbacks in luxurious leather-look claret Skivertex, lavish gilt tooling, silken bookmark, decorated red/gilt endpapers, portrait frontis & original illustrations; bks in the set appear hardly used, boards are bright and richly ornamented in gilt, pgs & illustrations crisp and sharp, no owner's inscriptions, however the only major fault is that at least half of the set has lost most of the gilt & titling off the spine, while other copies are near Fine, so the whole set has been givrn neat printed title labels in gilt ink (removable if not wanted); some also have some scuffs & bumps but only one copy shows actual damage to a crnr; therefore not up to our normal std and sold as is w.a.Fine., nevertheless overall quality is Good to VG, and represents a real opportunity to acquire the complete works of Nevil Shute in a handsome Heron Editions set.
